Make up products you NEED to try

Hello again!
It's been such a long time since I've written a blog post, but I became a bit unsure about what to post.
HOWEVER, this is a topic us girls can all relate to and as I've been getting a lot more interested in make up recently, I wanted to share what I've found.
Up until around this time last year, I didn't wear ANY foundation because I thought my skin was just too oily for it. I had tried multiple foundations before, but they used to make my skin feel horrible throughout the day and I used to look so embarrassingly shiny that I just gave up with it.
Day to day I used to just wear concealer and the powder foundation from Bare Minerals (which can I just say, really does provide good coverage for a powder). This was fine for day to day, but I wanted a little more coverage for nights out, but didn't know where to start with trying foundations.
Luckily my friend Liz who studies hair and make up at LCF showed me an amazing foundation for oily skin, which has the BEST coverage and does not feel at all oily on my skin. This is exactly what I wanted: full coverage, matte, but without the cakey feel. It sounds so dramatic but this foundation has actually changed my life (lol) because it gives an absolute FLAWLESS finish, without feeling too heavy on my face.
So I just wanted to say THANKS LIZ for letting me try out all your make up and I'm now gonna share with you everything I use on my face. I'll start with the order that I apply them, as that way I won't miss anything out.

So firstly I do my eyes.
I used to do foundation first, however I found it so hard not to get fallout and just find it much easier to do eyeshadow first and clean it up before the foundation goes on.
My 3 main palettes I use are the Kylie Bronze and Burgundy palettes and the Jaclyn Hill X Morphe palette.
I feel that with these 3 palettes I have every colour I could ever want or need and they are so pigmented, they stay on like a DREAM.

After I'm happy with my eyeshadow, I'll use the Waterproof Créme Colour eyeliner pot in shade JET, using the Morphe R45 brush.
I previously struggled to find an eyeliner which stayed on well, however the the creme texture of this makes it stay on SO well.
The Morphe brush is also amazing and makes it really easy to apply the eyeliner, for whichever style you're going for.

Next, I use the Real Techniques Expert Blending Duo to apply my foundation.
I actually tried out the silicone applicator by accident, as the only option they had in the Boots I was in when I was looking to buy a new sponge beauty blender, was was the duo set, so I just decided to buy it and hope for the best.
However I'm SO glad I tried this out, because you save so much product, it's so easy to apply and I think it's a lot cleaner too.

Now, the foundation which changed my life: the Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation.
I use shade 36 Beige Golden as I have quite an olive skin tone with yellow undertones. I've already said how amazing this is, and I know it's not the cheapest, HOWEVER in the whole scheme of things I think £37 is a small price to pay to change your life (if your skin is anything like mine).
Also it comes with an amazing ball applicator, and just a couple of drops goes such a long away and it lasts ALL day.
You're just gonna have to try it now and see if I'm lying...

Once my foundation is on, I apply the Mac NC20 Studio Finish Concealer using my Zoeva 144 brush. This is a really light shade, but it perfectly brightens under the eye which is what we all want.
I don't use any other shade of concealer, because the foundation covers any blemishes perfectly!

Once that is complete I will then set my face with the Maybelline Matte Maker Matifying Powder (can you tell I really need that MATTENESS) in shade 50 Sun Beige.
This powder really locks in the foundation and gives me that matte finish.
To set my concealer under my eyes I am currently using the 'light cocoa' powder in the Too Faced Cocoa Countour Kit (which I will show next), however it's running out and I was looking for more suggestions.
When I asked on Instagram the other day, people recommended RCMA, Laura Mercier, Cover FX and Beauty Bakery, so I'm going to give some of those a try!
For powder I always apply using my sponge beauty blender.

Now it's time to contour and be "chiseled to perfection" with the Too Faced Cocoa Contour.
This really is amazing and I can't fault it, it's lasted me over a year! It has the perfect combination of shades to brighten, highlight, and eccenturate your cheekbones.
I apply this using a contour brush from Blank Canvas Cosmetics - F06.

After countouring I do my eyebrows (this is probably a really random way to do it, but I feel like I have to do my eyebrows after powder otherwise it gets in the way).
I use Benefit's BrowZings eyebrow shaping kit, which I have ALWAYS used and cannot fault.

After this, I apply my NARS blusher, using a combination of Super Orgasm and Deep Throat - cute.
Next is the illuminator, but I can't find my exact one on the Nars website.
It's called 413 BLKR Illuminator and it's so pretty, gives you a dewy glow and is really good to use before highlighter as it really makes it POP.

After the illuminator base is on, I apply my highlighter which is the Charlotte Tilbury Bar of Gold.
This description is not deceptive, because the highlighter is INSANE. Like I actually think it may be made of gold.
However I'm pretty sure it's sold out at most places.
My friend recently brought the new Bar of Gold palette from Charlotte Tilbury and that seems to be just as good with a bigger variety of shades, so I would give that a go!

Now, it's time for mascara. I've recently given up with false eyelashes as I began to find them more effort than they're worth, and as I love using eyeshadow it can sometimes look a little too heavy.
However a combination of these two mascaras provides the perfect volume. The Benefit Roller Lash is amazing because it has such a curved shape which allows you to get right to the bottom of the lash and curve upwards - which I think gives a much fuller effect.
Then, the Kiko False Lashes Concentrate Curling Top Coat Mascara (bit of a mouthful) gives that extra WOW with the top coat and actually looks like you're wearing fake lashes.

Finally for my lips, I tend to opt for a nude colour as I like a lot of eyeshadow and nude is normally the safest colour. To line my lips I use the Mac Lipliner called Soar. This is a little darker than the lipstick, so if you like something lighter and more subtle I would go for Subculture or Strip down.
I then apply the Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink in shade 55 Driver.
This. Is. Insane.
I have NEVER experienced a lipgloss/stick/stain to stay on as well as this does. It will stay on ALL day and ALL night, I literally have to use my make up remover to take it off at the end of the day!
For £9.99 I think this is incredible.
And that's it! TAADAA.
I hope that was helpful and somewhat interesting to read, please let me know if it was and if there's anything else you want me to post about!
Hope you love these products as much as I do.
Love,
Bella x
