This time last year I'd received an unconditional offer to study Fashion Management at London College of Fashion - the dream.

And so much has happened since then!

I moved into student accommodation in Finsbury Park in London at the start of September, and 6 months later I've made some amazing friends, had some great opprtunites, worked hard at my course and embraced the London life!

Choosing London over my other offers was a no-brainer, as it's really the place to be to study fashion. It's such an amazing city with so many opportunities, I knew straight away I had picked the right place.

Now, I'm almost half way through my first year, looking for houses with my friends for next year, and already feel so much more grown up and independent.

Having said that, I definitely believe that having a gap year helped with my confidence and gave me the time to find the right university and the right course for me.

If you're thinking of applying to university, wherever it may be, remember there's no rush! Taking a year out was one of the best decisions I ever made, and I'm so happy to be where I am now.

Go at your own pace and do what's best for YOU.

I'm going to try and post on here a lot more now, so watch this space!
