Last August, I went on a family trip to a place I've always wanted to visit: South Africa.
Our holiday began in the capital city of Cape Town, where we explored the well known area of Bo Kaap (famous for its brightly coloured houses), Boulders Beach (home to hundreds of African
penguins), the beautiful Cape Point, Table Mountain and indulged in cheese, wine and chocolate tasting.
What more could you want?
After fully experiencing Cape Town we took a small flight to Kruger National Park to go on a safari!
A safari is something which I have ALWAYS wanted to do and the experience did not disappoint. We stayed in a beautiful lodge within the park, where animals were free to roam and we could sunbathe by the pool and watch them graze right in front of us.
The lodge was 100% open to wildlife, so much so that we had to get escorted to our room by a park ranger, incase any lions were lurking about...It was so surreal.
The safari itself was such an amazing experience, it was unbelievable how close we were able to get to giraffes, lions, zebras, elephants, leopards, hippos, rhinos and how tame they were.
They would literally sit right in front of the jeep, completely unbothered by us!
We had 4 days in the National Park, where we would get up at 5 am every day for a morning safari as the animals were hunting, and then another safari at 3 in the afternoon (the animals are not active during the daytime due to the heat, not that I'm complaining as it gave us plenty of time for sunbathing...).
My sister Evie took the most amazing photos on her camera whilst we were on the safari, see below!
Our safari experience had come to an end, and we had to say bye to the animals but hello to the Seychelles!

To be continued...
